Learning and Discovery All Year Long

On The Country School campus, learning and discovery take place year-round. We offer a vibrant Summer Fun and Learning program, where participants are invited to explore their passions and discover new ones — from robotics to theater, soccer to outdoor adventures. We also offer before- and after-school programs each day through Owl's Nest and Homework Haven, as well as periodic enrichment programs on days when school is not in session.

Fostering a Feeling of Family

In our small community, we foster a feeling of family. Parents and teachers work together to nurture each child, valuing his or her unique gifts in an atmosphere of mutual respect. Because they feel safe in our familial environment, students dare to try new things, and our community celebrates the discovery of each talent. Older students and younger students form lasting friendships through our Reading Buddies program, as they share books and activities throughout the years. The entire community, PreSchool-Grade 8, comes together regularly for All School Meetings and assemblies and large-scale service learning projects.

Making a Difference in the World

Like a family, The Country School tries to prepare students to meet not just academic challenges, but personal and ethical ones as well, and so students are called upon to serve their communities and the larger world. Through our Service Learning Program, students of all ages learn that they can make a difference — and they routinely do.
