PreSchool-8th Grade Learning Support

At The Country School, we are committed to supporting the academic growth of every child. Across our eleven-year program, we carefully monitor student progress and work to meet each child where they are in their learning journey.

Our Learning Support Team includes a Reading Specialist, a Math Specialist, and two Learning Specialists, all highly trained professionals who use gold-standard methods to teach reading, writing, and math. They partner closely with classroom teachers to support students in a thoughtful and responsive way. Specialists provide targeted instruction in small groups or one-on-one sessions tailored to individual learning styles and needs.

In our younger grades, we emphasize early intervention, providing extra literacy support several times a week to help students build strong foundational skills. As students move into Intermediate and Middle School grades, specialists continue to provide customized academic support: giving explicit, systematic instruction in core subjects, teaching effective study skills and test preparation strategies, or helping students manage long-term projects and meet deadlines.

Through strong collaboration and open communication among teachers, specialists, administrators, and families, our Learning Support Program helps students build confidence, strengthen skills, and grow as successful learners.
