Admission Process

Application Steps

  • Step 1: Visit Our School

    Bringing Country to You:
    • Complete an inquiry form and our Admission Team will contact you to schedule an on-campus tour or a virtual presentation.
    Join us for our Open House:


  • Step 2: Apply Online

    Online Application
    Submit the online application found here.  Applications are due on February 1, for March 1 notification.
     
    Financial Aid applications are due February 15.  You can access the application at School and Student Services (SSS).
     
    (We are still accepting applications for 2021-2022 based on space available.)


  • Step 3: Schedule a Student Visit

    PreSchool and PreKindergarten applicants schedule their admission visit for the morning of Saturday, February 5. Children play and work with teachers while their parents visit in a neighboring classroom. We will schedule another time for those who are not available that morning.

    Kindergarten applicants visit 60 minutes in a PreKindergarten classroom.

    1st - 8th Grade applicants shadow in their current grade. During their time on campus, they  will complete admission assessments and be interviewed by a member of the Educational Leadership Team.

  • Step 4: Additional Application Requirements

    • Standardized test results are required for students entering grades 5 - 8.
    • Acceptable tests include: ISEE, state mastery assessments, ERB, and SSAT.
    • Once enrolled, students may also be asked to complete a placement assessment.
    Prospective students interested in taking the ISEE or SSAT, may register online at iseetest.org or ssat.org. The Country School school offers the exams on campus at designated times throughout the year.

    This year we are offering standardized testing on the following dates:
    • SSAT on November 13, 2021
    • SSAT on December 11, 2021
    • ISEE on November 20, 2021
    The Country School admits students without regard to interest in financial assistance.
  • Step 5: Admissions Notification

    Notification of admission will be on March 1, 2022 for those applications received by February 1, 2022.
