Admission Process

Application Steps

  • Step 1: Visit Our School

    Join us at our April 27 Open House from 6:30-8 p.m.

    Schedule an on-campus tour or a virtual presentation by completing
    this inquiry form. Our Admission Team will contact you to schedule your visit.



  • Step 2: Apply Online

    Submit the online application.  
     
    You can access financial aid applications at School and Student Services (SSS).


  • Step 3: Schedule a Student Visit

    Admission visits for PreSchool, PreKindergarten, and Kindergarten last approximately 30 minutes.
    1st-8th Grade applicants shadow in their current grade. While on campus, they complete admission assessments and are interviewed by the Head or Assistant Head of School.
  • Step 4: Additional Application Requirements

    • Standardized test results are required for students entering grades 5-8.
    • Acceptable tests include: ISEE, state mastery assessments, ERB, and SSAT.
    • Once enrolled, students may also be asked to complete a placement assessment.
    Prospective students interested in taking the ISEE or SSAT, may register online at iseetest.org or ssat.org.

    The Country School admits students without regard to interest in financial assistance.
  • Step 5: Admissions Notification

    Notifications are on a rolling basis. Please note: the admission process takes two-three weeks. Notifications are sent promptly once admission files are complete.
