Application Steps

  • Step 1: Visit Our School

    Sunday, Oct 22 Open House, 1-3:30 p.m.

    Tour the campus, learn about the admission process, and engage with faculty, administration, students and parents as they share about our outstanding programs and curriculum.
     
    Kindergarten Readiness Session at 2:00 pm in the Clark House

    Kindergarten and Kindergarten Readiness will be the focus of an information session beginning at 2:00 in our Early Childhood Building, The Clark House. 

    Our Lower School Director, Jennifer Hornyak will facilitate the discussion.  Panel members will include Gigi Niekrash and Chester Sharp, Kindergarten teachers, and Jennifer Butler, School Counselor.

    Come learn how we assess student readiness, how we meet the needs of all learners, and what you can do to support your child between now and your student’s first day of Kindergarten

    This event is free and open to the public. Bring a friend!

    If you can't attend Open House, we welcome you to schedule an on-campus tour or a virtual presentation by completing this inquiry form. Our Admission Team will contact you to schedule your visit.



  • Step 2: Apply Online

    Submit the online application.  
     
    You can access financial aid applications at Clarity.


  • Step 3: Schedule a Student Visit

    Admission visits for PreSchool, PreKindergarten, and Kindergarten last approximately 30 minutes.
    1st-8th Grade applicants shadow in their current grade. While on campus, they complete admission assessments and are interviewed by the Head or Assistant Head of School.
  • Step 4: Additional Application Requirements

    • Standardized test results are required for students entering grades 5-8.
    • Acceptable tests include: ISEE, state mastery assessments, ERB, and SSAT.
    • This year Country School will host SSAT standardized testing on the following dates:
      • November 11, 2023 
      • December 9, 2023
      • April 20, 2024
    • Once enrolled, students may also be asked to complete a placement assessment.
    Prospective students interested in taking the ISEE or SSAT, may register online at iseetest.org or ssat.org.

    The Country School admits students without regard to interest in financial assistance.
  • Step 5: Admission Notification

    • Applications for notification by March 1 are due February 1, 2024.
    • After February 1, 2024, we are on a rolling admission based on space available.
