Our Academic Philosophy

The Country School recognizes that a challenging and exciting PreSchool through 8th Grade curriculum is the foundation for lifetime learning and love of school. Our program balances rigorous academics with vital offerings in the arts and athletics and an equally strong commitment to affective education.
Country School alumni are a diverse and talented group who work in a wide range of fields, including the arts, education, government, environmental protection, law, medicine, finance, and journalism. Some of our alumni have been honored with Distinguished Alumni Awards; others have volunteered to serve on Country School boards and committees and generously donated time, talent, and/or funds to their alma mater. Still others have enrolled their children at The Country School, showing that they truly understand the value of an education that lasts a lifetime.

The Country School has an active Alumni Association which oversees reunion planning, alumni communications, and other activities involving former students. The Alumni Association also identifies and nominates the recipient of the Distinguished Alumni Award.
