Varsity Girls' Basketball travel to Pine Point for first game of the season

Coach Johnson
After very productive early season practices, the Varsity Girls team traveled to Pine Point for our first game of the season on Wednesday, taking a 26-18 loss. For a game so early in the season, our players showed tremendous and promising energy, effort, poise and “game smarts.” Offensively, the team was led by Laila (12 pts), Maizie (4 pts), and Anna (2 pts), and everyone contributed defensively, playing tough player-to-player defense, making key stops and snagging rebounds. At the end of the game, the referees came to our team huddle to compliment our sportsmanship and hustle, which, ultimately, was as valuable as a win. We are off to a great start and look forward to our next game on Wednesday (1/18) away at Foote.
