"A victory for teamwork, sportsmanship, motivation, courage, and a whole lot of fun!"

Coach Merrill & Coach Burdge
Dear Parents and Players,

Our game yesterday vs. Pine Point was not only a victory for Country (5-0), but it was a victory for teamwork, sportsmanship, motivation, courage, and a whole lot of fun!  Dean scored 1 goal after a brilliant assist from Jacob, Connor had 1 sensational goal that was unstoppable by Pine Point's very experienced keeper, and Keve's hot foot could not miss with a 3-point hat trick!

Our comfortable lead allowed our players to have more experience in new positions on the field.  Our hope is that they gained new perspective on how those positions are played.  It was not always comfortable, and it took courage to play different roles, but our team came together and supported one another!   Coach Burdge, Coach Balogh, Coach Cretella and I are so proud of this team. We can't wait to see them in action next week!

A couple of notes for this week:

1. Please remember to bring shin guards to every practice (and game). Cleats are highly recommended for both as well.

2. Do not forget to hydrate! 1 or 2 water bottles would be great for practices and games.  If you use one water bottle during the day at school, be sure to refill the bottle before practice or games.

Thank you,

Coach Merrill & Coach Burdge
