Country School JV Boys Defeat Hamden Hall 37-35
The 5th Grade JV Boys defeated Hamden Hall 37-35. In a spectacular final game of the season, the boys played their best basketball of the season from start to finish. Every player contributed in some way to this win. Oscar, Adrien, Luke, and Christian played awesome defense. Will and Matthias ran the fast-break really well. Clark, Connor, and Aydin got some big rebounds to keep us in the game. All of these contributions showed their impressive growth over the course of the season. Six players scored in key situations, including the game-winning shot by Matthias. Will led the way with 14, followed by Aydin (10), Luke (6), Connor (3), and Christian and Matthias (2 each). The boys should be really proud of keeping their composure in this back-and-forth game, and we thank our fans for cheering us on in a tough environment. It’s been a fantastic season! Many thanks to the boys for making it fun.
