About

Our Mission

Our School is More Than a Place to Learn

Country School is a village where children grow into the best version of themselves. Teachers, students and families all play an important role in our tight-knit community. When teachers work one-on-one with students, they understand each child’s special gifts and abilities and customize lessons to them. When teachers give students the power to lead the way and explore, our children develop a love of learning. When families share their unique talents and expertise, our children make connections between the world they know and the one beyond. When our children work together to solve problems, they help each other thrive. We know from experience that well-nurtured children go on to become confident adults, ready to face the challenges of tomorrow with bright eyes and full hearts.
Our school’s mission lives within the three Cs--culture, community and curriculum. It is a place where children feel uplifted and encouraged to become active and explorative learners, nurtured by a tight-knit group of teachers, students and faculty. A comprehensive and rounded education here cultivates a love of learning that our students carry into the rest of their lives. Our graduates excel at the nation’s top secondary schools and lead the way in their fields of study. On our beautiful campus with acres of forest and fields, students have the freedom, resources and support to blossom into engaged, confident and bright adults, ready to face the world with a diverse knowledge and a team of champions behind them.

Our Core Values

List of 3 items.

  • Creativity

As we honor creativity, the sense of wonder, and exuberance in childhood, we inspire enthusiasm for learning as an exciting, lifelong activity. We value imagination and diverse ways of thinking.
  • Resilience

Knowing that improvement requires a willingness to take risks, persevere, and learn from mistakes, we encourage and support students as they stretch their limits both in and out of the classroom. Through appropriate challenges and reflection, our students learn that adversity offers opportunities for growth.
  • Confidence

We teach students that their voices matter. We strive to create an atmosphere of mutual respect where children feel comfortable speaking and acting with vision and conviction.

  • Kindness

“Be kind” is our guiding principle. We practice empathy by considering different perspectives and making all members of the community feel welcome, included, and respected. Our students look beyond themselves to work collaboratively and serve others.
  • Integrity

Our community is built on trust. We prepare students to meet not only academic challenges, but personal and ethical ones as well. As we tell our students, we all must do the right thing, even when no one else is watching.
Our three simple rules that we know children will be able to memorize and easily recite.

  1. Be kind to others.
  2. Respect everyone’s right to learn.
  3. Take responsibility for yourself and your world.
