The Varsity B Boys lost a thriller to IDS 35-33

Coach Burdge
The Varsity B Boys lost a thriller to IDS 35-33. In a characteristically tight game, we showed a ton of heart to make it as competitive as possible. In the first half, we got off to a great start, trading buckets with IDS and making some nice shots. With a 21-19 deficit at halftime, we kept up the pace and did not falter when they went on a 3rd-quarter scoring run. It seemed that the game was out of hand in the final minutes, as we were down by 6 with time running out. But we stepped up the pressure, went on a run, and got to within 1 point with 10 seconds left. Even though we didn’t close the deal, it was a truly impressive comeback. Will led the team with 12 points followed by Connor (7), Charlie O. (6), Henrik (4), and Liam and Keve (2 each). Everyone should feel great about how they played against a solid team, as they are using all of the skills we work on in practice and are showing a ton of grit. We sadly only have one game left, but we look forward to rounding out a fantastic season next Thursday (2/23) at Hopkins.
