Girls Soccer Takes Down Williams

Lots of mud, lots of bugs, and a lot of opponents who probably would have beaten us in a wrestling match—but we were not deterred! With 12 girls in tow and Maria and Kora serving as our captains, we were ready for a 9-v-9 matchup.

Goalie Coraline did a remarkable job, diving through the mud to prevent any balls from entering our goal. Supporting her efforts were the powerful defensive plays of Emma, Maria, Sadie, Charlotte, Greta, and Eme.

On offense, Aggie and Kora dribbled and passed through the opposition, looking for any opening for our lead scorer, Greta. By the end of the game, Kora had one goal and three assists, Aggie an additional assist, and Greta scored an impressive five goals—all the result of this united front. Charlie, Sawyer, and Olivia also contributed wherever they could, helping their teammates both defensively and offensively.

In the end, this dynamic group of young ladies came away with a 6-3 victory, a win that was certainly celebrated by all! Now, we look forward to our next matchup at IDS on Monday, October 5.
