Coed Soccer vs Independent Day!

Game: TCS vs IDS Oct. 5
End Score: 2-1

While it wasn’t the World Cup, the level of competition and grit from all players (and maybe even some coaches) at Monday’s game made it feel like it could have been. In the first 35-minute half, TCS and IDS battled for possession of the ball. With IDS’ defense playing so far up, each time TCS claimed dominance, a whistle would blow for offsides. Incredible clearing of the ball from Gideon and Jake helped keep the ball at bay, but the turf field certainly made it a fast-paced game.  After numerous attempts at goal, IDS was only able to get one in on goalkeeper Sam Collins.

As the second half began, TCS refused to back down. Within minutes, Greta dominated their goal after receiving a key assist from Kora. As the half continued, Emma, Maria, and Corlaine continued to work hard on defense, keeping the ball away from goalkeeper Ben’s territory. Unfortunately, their incredible efforts were spoiled by another goal by IDS. While each player gave it their all, IDS took victory with an end score of 2-1.

On Tuesday, November 3rd, we will be hosting IDS for a rematch.  It’s 28 days away, but who is counting?
