Girls' Varsity Basketball Mid-Season Update

January brought an exciting and rewarding stretch of competition for the TCS Girls Varsity team! The team posted a very impressive 4–1 record, with our only loss coming on the road at Foote by just two points.
The team has been practicing hard, adding new offensive and defensive sets plus inbound plays, which are translating successfully into game situations.
8th graders Oakley, Quinn, Maddie, Caitlin, and Charlie continue to provide steady, supportive leadership. 7th graders, across both Blue and Gold squads, are a dedicated, tight-knit and spirited group, contributing strong ball handling, outside shooting, rebounding, and solid defensive play. As a full team, communication, collaboration, and energy (plus snacks!) have truly been next level!
In all sports, including basketball, statistics never tell the full story, and behind every made basket is a key steal, assist, or rebound. Offensively, scoring has been well balanced, with Liv averaging 12 points per game, followed by Quinn and Oakley (6), Mila (5), Giuliana (4), and Caitlin and Emily (3). Maddie, Charlie, Emma, Avery, Fiona, Francesca, and Naomi have been impactful on both ends of the court.
With their combination of athleticism, teamwork and positive energy, this team is a pleasure to coach and watch play. Come see us in action soon!
