Director of Development: The Country School seeks a part-time or full-time Director of Development to begin July 2017. The individual will lead a small and devoted comprehensive development and alumni relations enterprise involving stewardship and donor relations, communications, our annual Gala Auction and annual Golf Classic, gift processing, research, prospect management, foundation relations, and information systems. The office works closely with the Head of School and Board to create a culture of philanthropy in the extended school community, an effort that presently includes the ongoing Shaping the Future Capital Campaign, the largest and most successful in The Country School’s history. The successful candidate will enjoy being around children and will have some years of progressively responsible development experience – including management and leadership of annual and/or major gift solicitations, strong knowledge of GoogleDocs, spreadsheets, PowerPoint and complex databases. Strategic planning/execution experience is required, as are superior written and oral communication skills. Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks are essential, as is a collaborative style that fosters effective partnerships with colleagues, parents and prospective donors.
