Under the guidance of an experienced collegiate a cappella music director, students will work together to arrange and record their song using GarageBand. This is an excellent opportunity for students who are passionate about music, singing, or chorus, to broaden their musical experience and build confidence in their performance abilities and knowledge of musical construction. The camp will provide a comfortable, supportive environment in which students are encouraged to have fun, take risks, and work collaboratively with their peers.

The instructor, Hannah Johnson, graduated from The Country School in 2008 (after attending since PreK) and graduated from American University in 2016 with her BA in Psychology. She fell in love with singing during her time at TCS and carried that passion with her to both Hopkins School and American University. Between these two schools, she has eight years of experience as an a cappella singer and three years of experience as a musical director. Choosing to continue her family’s tradition of working as an educator, Hannah has spent the past year in Washington, D.C, working as an Assistant Teacher at the Lab School of Washington.
