Big win for the Varsity Girls (5-2) against Hopkins!

The TCS Girls Varsity traveled to Hopkins in what proved to be the most exciting and nail-biting game so far this season with Country prevailing 26-25 on a buzzer-beater. Laila (18) led all scorers, including the game winning bucket with 1.7 seconds left on the clock. Key play, passing and critical court leadership came from another 6th grader, Claire (4). Offensively, 8th grader Maizie (4) hit two huge long-range jump shots that kept the defense honest. Rosie and Anna were forces defensively, grabbing rebounds and anchoring the zone defense, and Mia, Eliza, Elizabeth and Devri contributed key minutes too. Looking ahead, the team has practices planned for next week then then wraps up the season away at IDS on Thursday, 3/2.
