An Exciting Baseball Game Between Two Madison Schools!

Coach Burdge
The Varsity Baseball team lost to Polson 4-0. While the offense was stymied today, the team put together a good performance, staying competitive against Polson. Henry started the game and threw 3 innings. Striking out 3 and walking only 1, Henry was solid and never let the game get away from him. Three of Polson’s runs came in the 3rd inning, where we made 3 errors in the field. Despite that, there were some nice plays, including a great catch by Charlie Sinclair in left field, and a nice play at shortstop by Andrew. After three innings from Henry, Cade came in to pitch the 4th, where he struck out 2 and didn’t give up a run. At the plate, it took us a while to catch up to Polson’s pitchers, but we eventually made solid contact. Jack and Braden both got base-hits, starting a rally in the 2nd inning that came up short of any runs. In the 4th, Henry and Cade both stung fly balls to right field, which were caught on two nice plays. While our good at-bats didn’t amount to any runs, we ended the season on a good note. Coach Wainio and I thank the team for an excellent season!
