Varsity Baseball defeats Foote 6-0

Coach Burdge
The Varsity Baseball team defeated Foote 6-0. This was a well-played game for TCS from start to finish, with multiple contributions from a variety of players. Henry started on the mound, throwing three scoreless innings. He gave up only 1 hit and struck out 7. Jack came in to pitch the 4th inning, giving up only 1 walk and striking out 1. Both pitchers threw strikes consistently and were helped by solid defense, including a great catch by Liam in center field. With our bats, we scored 5 runs in the 1st inning and added on an insurance run in the 2nd. We were patient at the plate and aggressive on the base paths, which allowed us to take an early lead. Beyond his solid pitching performance, Henry also got 2 hits and scored 2 runs. Andrew, Cade, Jack and Braden also scored, with Jack and Andrew also getting 1 hit each. The entire team has a lot to be proud of, as we were solid on the mound, at the plate, and in the field. With only one game remaining, we look forward to a similar performance next Monday at Polson.
