The Country School Brings Its Mission to Life

The Country School’s Mission speaks to honoring students’ creativity, sense of wonder, and intellectual curiosity; committing to character and leadership development; nurturing every student’s unique role in the community; and empowering each to serve the common good. It is no surprise then that when Country School students learned that their van driver Mike Clark has been spearheading a humanitarian initiative to benefit those in need in the Ukraine, they wanted to get involved as well and are now supporting this medical supply collection for hospitals in the Ukraine. Beyond the collection, 5th Grader Josie Leiss of Madison wanted to create a visual representation of The Country School’s support since the school’s colors are the same as the Ukrainian flag. She asked the school community to wear their bright blue and gold spirit wear, gather on the Burt Family Green, and arrange themselves like the Ukrainian flag.  Eighth Grader Milo Burch of Madison volunteered to take the all-school photo using his drone. Country School students know their voices matter and seek to make a difference. If you would like to get participate in the collection, please email Director of Communication Teresa Sullivan at teresa.sullivan@thecountryschool.org.
