"The Boys’ Varsity Soccer team hosted their first home game of the season, and it was a wild one. "

Coach Wainio
The Boys’ Varsity Soccer team hosted their first home game of the season, and it was a wild one.  The last time the Owls squared off against The Foote School, the teams went back and forth ending in a victory for TCS.  This game was no different.  Country got off to a quick start with Sam ‘22 scoring a beautiful goal from just outside the box.  Foote used their counter attacking speed to score the next four goals.  The Owls’ defense regrouped at halftime, as the team was down four goals to one.  The offense was sparked right after the half, and Sam ‘22 scored two quick goals and assisted on another to Harrison ‘22.  Harrison ‘22 scored again on a smooth assist from Milo ‘22.  Foote quickly replied with two goals to retake a 6-5 lead.  Undaunted, the Owls fought back.  Blake ‘22 hustled up to the opposing goalkeeper who was struggling to corral a ball, tapped it away from the keeper and into the goal to tie the game.  With 90 seconds remaining, Oli ‘23 lofted a beautiful pass over the defense and right to the foot of Harrison ‘22, who slotted in his third goal of the game.  The Owls went on to win 7-6.  It was an incredible back-and-forth affair.  Andrew ‘23 did a wonderful job in goal against a very talented and swift Foote team.  It was a great match and the Owls are now unbeaten in their first four games!
