    Established in 2008 by anonymous parents of the Class of 2011, this endowed fund supports The Country School’s Signature Outdoor Education Program, an unparalleled learning experience that instills in our students the confidence to face future challenges with courage toward success supports excellence in Outdoor Education or otherwise improving the quality of the program for students at all grade levels.

    Established in 2011 by HJ Promise Foundation in celebration of the school’s 55th year, this endowed fund provides unrestricted financial aid to the students of Country School.

    Sarah Barber Endowment for Performing Arts

    Established in 2021 by Everett Barber in honor of his wife and 20-year veteran teacher, Sarah Barber, this endowed fund supports excellence in performing arts or otherwise improving the quality of the program for students at all grade levels.

    “Music at the Country School gives exceptional students an opportunity to enhance their studies and experience the joy of music making.  I believe that instrumental music study can give students the opportunity to learn dedication, collaboration with others and foster the appreciation of the fine arts. It has been my experience that music brings students inner joy, and is a tool that can bring people together.  It was a pleasure and a true honor to be a part of such a program at the Country School for many years.”

    STEAM

    The Country School has been a pioneer with its signature STEAM (Science Technology, Engineering, Arts, Math) program, engaging students in project-based initiatives that integrate these subject areas to address real world issues. I believe that my greatest achievement as a STEAM educator was to fully invest my students in their learning with meaningful projects that allowed them to discover and apply their creative talents. The most important and pressing issues of sustainability (green initiatives) were at the core of my teaching—students collaborating and using critical thinking skills to solve real and relevant problems.

Founded in 1955, The Country School is a coeducational, independent school serving students in PreSchool-Grade 8. The Country School is committed to active, hands-on learning and a vigorous curriculum that engages the whole child.
