Elmore Leadership Expo

Congratulations to Country School 6th Graders for their performance at the 4th Annual Elmore Leadership Expo on Tuesday evening. The celebration of learning wove together three of our signature programs: public speaking, STEAM, and Elmore Leadership.

From Mrs. Jackson, Middle School STEAM Coordinator, "I am so impressed with all of your speeches! You were all eloquent and impassioned as you spoke about your environmental issues. I learned so much! Keep spreading awareness. You are making a difference – one person at a time!"

Click on the image above for a slideshow of images from the event. See even more photos of their preparation for the evening in Vidigami.

Ride the bus – on us – to school on Alumni Day!

In an effort to make your morning easier, we welcome students who live in Branford or Guilford to try our bus service free-of-charge on Alumni Day, Tuesday, November 20. We will not offer afternoon transportation.

Reserve your seat! If you are interested, please contact Karen Cunningham.

Support the Can Van on Tuesday and earn a Spirit Wear (Tops Only) Day

On Alumni Day, we welcome you to bring in cans or purchase a sweet treat at the Can Van bake sale. Doing so will earn you a Spirit Wear Day! Please note: Spirit wear tops only, dress code bottoms.

Even better news? There will be another Bake Sale on Friday, 12/7 to support this annual community service project.

The students have already started by soliciting donations from grocery shoppers at Robert's.

From the 7th Grader advisor team to their students, "You filled two SUVs and even got $130 in cash donations. You realized the task was not easy, but you stretched yourselves by reaching out to others. Your efforts represent what we stand for as a school. We advisors are totally psyched by what you accomplished. We are proud of you all. Great job!"

November STEAM Challenge

Purchase your very own TCS cloth bag for $5 to support our Eliminating and Repurposing Plastic Initiative and get one personal dress down pass per customer.

These bags are great for gym clothes, lunch, or groceries!

The proceeds are divided as follows: $3 covers the cost of each bag. The additional $2 per bag will be donated to fund breast cancer research, as decided by the student-led committee.

See Mrs. Jackson for your bag!
