Bauer Park Harvest Festival - Saturday, October 13, from 11 a.m. - 3 p.m.

The Harvest Fest is an entirely volunteer-run event held at Bauer Park, Madison's historic farm, every October on the Saturday following Columbus Day. It's a beloved tradition that brings the community together for four hours of pure enjoyment with food, live music, crafts, animals, games exhibits and so much more - all free of charge. It's a slice of life the way it used to be, and it's the only event of its kind in Madison.

Don your Country School spirit wear and visit the Country School table in the discovery tent!

Think Pink!

On October 18, make a $1.00 donation to dress down in your favorite pink outfit to honor all those affected by breast cancer.

Donate any edible pink treat for the pink table at the Cross Country meet vs. Hopkins on October 18.

Please contact Laura Fucci if you have any questions.

Thank you in advance for your support!

A Note from Mrs. Coyne about Parent-Teacher Conferences

We look forward to our conference time with you. This is an important moment for our home-school communication and relationship building, foundations of long-term success for our students. All teachers will share their conference notes with you which will include observations of strengths, challenges, progress and a plan with strategies.

If you have something particular you wish to discuss, I encourage you to contact the teacher via email ahead of time so he or she can be prepared for that conversation. Middle School conferences, in order to meet with all teachers, are eight minutes long. If you feel you need a longer conversation, reach the individual teacher to schedule an alternate time.

Thank you very much for you sharing your children with us and choosing Country School as a place to grow and learn.

Box Tops for Education
This year we are once again participating in the Box Tops for Education program. By clipping the Box Top coupons on products that you already purchase and sending them to school with your child, TCS can earn cash that can be used to buy anything we need. Each unexpired coupon is worth 10¢, which can add up to hundreds of dollars. All we need is everyone to participate and spread the word to family and friends to help collect!

Box Tops Contest
As part of our Box Top collection, we have an ongoing friendly competition between the Blue and Gold Teams. We ask that families mark their Box Top submissions with Blue or Gold for their respective teams. We update the team standings in The Hoot and on a scoreboard in the dining room. At the close of the year, the team with the most Box Tops collected is awarded points added to their Field Day score. Our first submission is November 1, so please bring in your Box Tops to be counted. Keep clipping and collecting! Go Blue! Go Gold!
