Health Office Updates for Spring

Sunny skies and warmer temperatures have finally arrived.  Below, please find some friendly reminders for you and your children. Contact Nurse Laura Fucci with any questions.

Field Trips:

Many of you have already submitted forms/medications for day or overnight trips, thank you.  Please note, all medications (over-the-counter and prescription) require a completed medication authorization form signed by a physician.  Medications should be delivered two weeks in advance by an adult to the Health Office.

Please monitor your children daily.  Parents will be notified if a tick is found/removed from a student during school hours.  Further information on ticks can be found on the State of CT Department of Health or your local health department.

Asthma and Allergies:

Kindly communicate with the Health Office if your child is experiencing any allergy or asthma symptoms or may require medication administration (such as inhalers) during the course of the school day.

Please send all children with a refillable water bottle.  Encourage hydration and adequate nutrition throughout the day.  Encourage students to wash hands frequently. With the onset of warmer weather, there will be an increased amount of time spent outdoors.  Children should be covered appropriately and have sunblock applied prior to the start of the school day.
