He is the Founder and President of the Ocean Exploration Trust, an Explorer-In-Residence at the National Geographic Society, Commissioner for the U.S. Commission on Ocean Policy, and has served in the U.S. Navy for more than 30 years. Oh, and he found the RMS Titanic.

Theresa Govert is a community activist and founder of Together We Rise, a new group of like-minded individuals from the Lower Connecticut River Valley and surrounding areas who believe that "no one is free while others are oppressed." She served in the Peace Corps for three years and was the recipient United States Peace Corps John F. Kennedy Service Award.

Matthew Siracusa is the CEO of WEWOOL, a local business that works to provide socks to homeless individuals in Connecticut. For every pair of socks purchased, one is given to someone in need. He had the vision for WEWOOL while running a breakfast outreach ministry in Hartford, Connecticut. Since then, the business has organized a sock drive and helped donate thousands of socks to those in need.

We will help you recycle!

Cast Your Vote for TCS - Essex Savings Bank Community Investment Program

Essex Savings Bank will be collecting votes throughout the month of February. At the end of this period, the votes will be tallied and translate into a percentage of the total amount of allocated funds. In 2018, the total amount to be distributed is $39,600. Support The Country School by voting!

The bank takes their "profits" and distributes to non-profits based on how their customers vote. Customers vote in February and money gets distributed based on the number of votes the organization receives.

If you are a customer of Essex Savings Bank, you are eligible to vote for up to three of your favorite non-profit organizations beginning February 1 through February 28, 2018. A customer will be defined as any person having a loan, deposit account or safe deposit box with the Bank.
