  • Optional enrichment opportunity: Sign up for the 4th Grade level IXL program.

Recommendation for the IXL math program is based on 3 main factors:

  1. Assisted independent practice (Reteaching of concepts is embedded in the program.)
  2. Formal summaries of student progress for students, parents, and teachers
  3. User friendly, engaging math practice (Animations make the learning more fun!)

Directions to sign up for IXL Math:

  • Go to https://www.ixl.com/membership/family/promo20
  • Tech support 855-255-6676 ext 3
  • Above is the sign-up link for IXL...the price is the online price of $9.95 but the good news is that we can receive 20% off our first month fee or for the year. There are other family membership links that go cross disciplines but that is not our focus here.
  • Students should sign up for the grade level they were previously in. In the case of 7th Pre-Algebra(McGee) class, students should sign up for seventh grade as our goal is to review previously learned material, not enrichment or acceleration.
  • Our hope is that students will sign up for a total of 8 weeks at a timetable of parent’s convenience. Do understand that you are in partnership with IXL and TCS is not part of this agreement. Please be clear about how to designate your monthly timetables at the beginning of your agreement or how to close out at the end. Issues with technology must be taken up with IXL.
  • At the end of summer tutorial work, students/parents are asked to print out and pass in the "Usage Detail Report" which is accessed by clicking on analytics in the green bar. You then click on usage" which will generate a report so you can provide the school with the following info: Number of questions answered total for the summer, time spent for the summer, progress made by skill, summary of total skill progress.
