Robotics: No Vacation from Learning at TCS

by Stephanie Johnson, Science Teacher and Sarah Johnson '10

In Robotics, students have been busy building and programming Lego robots with a focus on real-world problem solving. They have talked about the importance of bees as pollinators and the threats facing them, and they tackled some research and brainstormed about the problem of plastic pollution in our oceans.

With each topic, they designed, built, and programmed model robots that can help solve these problems by completing specific tasks.

The students contributed to this video about bees by sharing facts, building pollinating robotic bees, taking photos in the TCS garden, and importing them into a green screen app to contribute to a group public service announcement/awareness video.

Can you tell who was wearing green when they filmed?
