Mischa Frusztajer P '22, '24 serves as a Board Member for several technology-related companies, providing advisory services related to fundraising, personnel/organization-building, business development, sales and marketing, operations, and financial management. Prior to his advisory work, he started numerous telecommunications companies, most recently as founding CEO of United Cable Network, a multi-system Cable TV operator in Russia. Previously, he had developed telephone and information technology companies in Russia engaged in wired and wireless telephone systems, as well as encryption and telecommunications software. Before working in Russia, he was a Product Manager in the Tokyo office of Teradyne, Inc., a Fortune 500 manufacturer of semiconductor test equipment.
In parallel with his business activities, Mischa is active as a classical singer, specializing in operatic, choral, and early music. As a professional choral singer, he has performed with the New York Philharmonic, American Symphony Orchestra, Los Angeles Philharmonic, the NHK Philharmonic, Pro Arte Singers, Musica Sacra, and many others. In addition, he has appeared as a soloist with many groups, including One World Symphony, Grace Church Choral Society, the Russian Chamber Chorus of New York, New York Metro Vocal Arts Ensemble, the Performing Arts Center at SUNY Purchase, and The Yard on Martha's Vineyard.
In addition to his business and singing activities, Mischa has served on the boards of numerous arts organizations and, as in his business activities, provides advisory services related primarily to fundraising and financial management.
Mischa holds a Bachelors’ degree in East Asian Studies and a Master of Business Administration degree from Harvard University. He lives in Guilford with his wife, Edina, and three sons.
