60th Anniversary Scholarship

In celebration of The Country School's 60th Anniversary, the Board of Trustees is providing a $10,000 merit scholarship to a student applying for admission to Grades 4-8 for the fall of 2017. Additional scholarships will be offered to students entering those grades based on applicants' qualifications and/or need.

The recipient of the $10,000 Merit Scholarship will be selected on the basis of academic merit and personal promise as demonstrated by performance on school records, in an interview, and on a Merit Scholarship test. Finalists will be asked to write an essay describing how a Country School education might benefit him or her and will spend a day on campus. The scholarship recipient and other financial aid award winners will be notified by the first week of March.

Additional Details

The 60th Anniversary Scholarship is for a new student and is renewed each year that the student is enrolled at The Country School, provided the recipient stays in strong academic standing and consistently demonstrates good citizenship. It is The Country School’s expectation that merit scholarship recipients will contribute significantly to the life of the School, creating a stronger overall experience for all students. Additional financial aid money may be available based upon need.

A look inside Grades 4-8 at The Country School.

From Brian and Meghan, parents of Will, a 4th Grader and this year's Merit Scholarship recipient:

The communication between the teachers and parents on all subjects has far exceeded our expectations. An unexpected advantage of this is that we feel so comfortable with what’s going on at school, we can give our 4th Grader space to become an independent learner.

There are no boundaries on Will's learning at The Country School because he's allowed to explore his interests as in depth as he wants.

For the first time in his education, Will feels challenged. The bar is set high at TCS. Students are given the support and encouragement to believe in themselves, motivating them to give their best and prove that they can not only reach their goals, but exceed them. We are so grateful for the opportunities Will has been given at The Country School.
