AMERICA'S PASTIME - ALL ABOUT BASEBALL
Baseball is America’s pastime and has influenced and mirrored historical events through our history. In this course, participants will have the opportunity to discover the early origins of the game, learn how to score a baseball game, research a player from prior to 1950, view and discuss major historical events, and have the opportunity to play the game the way it was in the 1860s. We will also investigate how statistical analysis and probability have influenced the game and brought about the “Moneyball” approach to the modern game.
