From our modest but noble founding 60 years ago, The Country School has relied on its family and friends to support our mission. Donations from our constituents ─ parents (past and present), Grandparents, Alumni, Trustees, Friends, Corporations and Foundations ─ have helped to sustain us through the peaks and valleys that are part of running a school. At The Country School, there are many ways for you to contribute to our program and campus development:
- Annual Fund. The Annual Fund supports the day-to-day operations of the school ─ everything from electricity to textbooks, faculty salaries to field trips and basketball referees. As at other independent schools, the tuition revenue raised covers only a portion of our school’s operating costs ─ approximately 85 percent. The annual fund closes that critical gap.
- Capital Giving. Exciting and important to the rejuvenation of our campus, Capital giving supports new projects that require large sums of money. Country School's current Capital Campaign has generated more than $1.5 million to build the Athletic Fields, Rothberg Tennis Facility, and Duffy STEAM Lab, as well as a new system of circulation, parking and turn arounds for increased student safety. The final phase of this plan includes completing the parking area with lighting, sidewalks, and pavement.
- Endowment Giving. For The Country School to endure and thrive for future generations, we depend on the growth of our endowment. The endowment is equivalent to a family’s savings/investment account. Gifts to this endeavor secure The Country School’s future for the generations of students yet to enroll in our great school.
Our development staff stands ready to help you consider your philanthropic plans. We hope you will make The Country School a philanthropic priority and support our noble mission! This is an exciting time here at The Country School; join us as we continue educating our students for a lifetime of learning.
