Running Camp and Writing Camp to be Offered at Summer Fun and Learning
Two exciting new camps have been added to our Summer Fun and Learning offerings: Long Distance Running with Coaches Fixx and Coyne and Reading and Writing Fun with Hannah Chappell, a Country School alumna. Read more.

Run for Uganda: Country School Students Plan Fundraiser for Well Project
This week students held a Dress Down Day to raise funds for the project, and on May 2 they are organizing a Well Run for Uganda to help support their effort to build a well in the village of Kaberamaido in eastern Uganda. Read more.

Purchase Your Tickets for The Journey
You may now purchase tickets online for The Journey, the spring fundraising gala - click here for the link. Thank you to everyone who has donated auction items and/or offered to volunteer. Being held April 25 from 6:30-10 p.m. at Madison Chrysler, it is shaping up to be a spectacular evening for a spectacular cause. Join us for tapas, drinks, and live and silent auctions!

How to Raise a Drug-Free Child - April 9
We are looking forward to a great evening with Joseph A. Califano, Jr., and Yale psychiatry experts on April 9. Join us in DeFrancis Gymnasium at 6 p.m. for How to Raise a Drug-Free Kid: THE STRAIGHT DOPE FOR PARENTS. Learn more here. This exciting event is free and open to the public, so please invite your friends.

Variety Show
The Country School community is invited to join members of the Class of 2015 for the TCS Variety Show on April 24, from 6-8 p.m. Featuring a delicious Italian dinner and entertainment by talented students in Grades 4-8, the evening will support the 8th Grade’s renovation of the DeFrancis Gym foyer. Members of the Class of 2015 will also auction off services such as babysitting, yard work, and tennis lessons, to support their effort.


Call for Trustee Nominations
The Country School's Committee on Trustees seeks recommendations for individuals to serve on the Board of Trustees. Please submit any recommendations by April 24. Click here for more information. 


Yearbook Order Form
We are taking orders for the 2015 Country school Yearbook. The cost will be $42 per book. There are a limited number of copies, so please order early if you would like your child to receive a yearbook for this school year. Click here to download a form. Orders due by April 24.

Author Mark Glodblatt to Visit TCS
On April 21, The Country School, in conjunction with Breakwater Books, will welcome Mark Goldblatt to campus to speak with students about his books and the writing process. He is the author of Twerp and Finding the Worm. Click here for more information.


Madison Newcomers Holds Touch a Truck Event
The Madison Newcomers Club is holding a Touch a Truck event on April 26 from 11-2 p.m. The event takes place at the Surf Club.

Do you know what's special about The Country School? We've been rummaging through the archives in anticipation of The Country School's 60th Anniversary, and we came across this small brochure from 1980. Thirty-five years later, the phone number is still the same, and so are a lot of other things!
