Announcements and Reminders
Order Your Copy of the 2012-2013 Country School Yearbook
TCS is using a new on-line ordering system this year, and we need to have a complete count of orders by the end of February.
A Reminder about New Drop-Off, Pick-Up and Visiting Procedures
As we re-open school following winter break, we remind families of the new procedures we have implemented across campus. These procedures were outlined in a December 18 message from Head of School Laurie Bottiger, and we reprint them here with a bit more detail:
1. All doors to all buildings will be locked at all times.
2. Faculty, Administration, and Staff will access various doors and buildings with their students by using keys.
3. A staff member will be at the main door of each building during drop off and pick up. These main doors include the central entrance to Robinson House, Clark House, Jones House, and MacLane House.
4. All visitors – including parents who arrive on campus other than at drop-off and pick-up times – will need to check in at the Farmhouse. They will receive a visitor pass and will be escorted to the appropriate building.
5. If you child is arriving late or leaving early, please call Deb Williams at 203-421-3113, extension 127. She will be able to meet you at the Robinson House door.
6. For Owl's Nest: Between 3:30 and 5:30 p.m., parents should pick up children at the cafeteria door. Between 5:30 and 6 p.m., parents are asked to pick up children at the Robinson door.
As always, we appreciate your cooperation and patience as we implement these new systems.
February 1 Enrichment and Owl's Nest Opportunities
February 1 is a Parent Conference Day, and TCS is once again pleased to offer Owl's Nest and enrichment activities. Please sign up by January 17. Click here for information and registration materials.
From the Health Office
We ask that when notifying the office of a student's absence, please identify reason. If your child is ill, we make every effort to trend symptoms which may be contagious or warrant a physician's note for return to school. Children should be fever free (less than 100 degrees) without the use of Tylenol or Motrin for twenty fours hours prior to returning to class. Any child vomiting twelve hours prior to the start of the school day, should be kept home. Please feel free to contact the Health Office at any time with questions or concerns regarding your child. Thank you!
