Open Your Heart and Home to an International Student!

A welcoming family is needed to host international middle school students that will attend The Country School, arriving in mid-August 2017. As a host family, you will offer an international student the opportunity to discover America through your eyes throughout the school year. Your family will not only gain a new family member, but will also learn about a different culture, its values and tradition, language, food and more.

Interested Host Families would be required to provide their student with meals, transportation to/from school(busing and carpooling where available), and a private bedroom. To offset the costs of hosting, a generous monthly stipend in the amount of $1,000 per student is offered - Host Families may host up to 2 students of the same gender! All students studying in the U.S. are required to undergo a detailed application process including a one-one- one SKYPE interview with an AIEP staff member, English proficiency testing, medical pre-screening and other application requirements for the schools they will be attending.

AIEP is a professional outside agency that specializes in guardianship and homestay programs for international students. If you are interested in learning more about becoming an AIEP host family, please contact us at 203.992.2437 or visit

Please mention you saw this notice or heard about AIEP through The Country School. For every family that is accepted into the AIEP program and assigned a student/students, AIEP will give the school a $500 referral.
