MacLane Finals: Brilliant performances by all

The judges had quite a daunting task selecting winners in this year's Lois MacLane Poetry Recitation. Themes of nature, unity, identity, and making choices resounded as 23 5th-8th Graders confidently delivered their poems during the finals last Friday. Learn more

Below, the top medalists. From left to right, Tristan K. (7th Grade), tied for 3rd place; Elke Z. (6th Grade), 2nd place; Willa W. (6th Grade), 1st place; Jake M. (8th Grade), tied for 3rd place

Bravo to all of our reciters!

How does the MacLane Recitation affect our alumni? Apparently it makes them fearless public speakers. Hear from Tara Maloney '13

Serving Their Community and the Larger World

Thank you to our team of 8th Graders who joined us last night to prepare and serve dinner at The Community Dining Room in Branford. As part of our community service efforts this year, and as a way to honor our ongoing relationship with The Community Dining Room, 8th Graders are being asked to volunteer at one of three family night dinners. On Tuesday, we had an energetic crew of eight students from the Class of 2017.

Sign up to volunteer at the next TCS/CDR night. Please note that 8th Grade advisors will be chaperoning these events so parent volunteers will not be needed.
