During All School Meeting, Archimedes, the stuffed Country School mascot, “flew” to 4th Grade to recognize that class’s recycling efforts.
| || | Time for Poetry: Preparing for the MacLane Poetry Recitation
It’s January and so, at TCS, the conversation inevitably turns to poetry. Next month, The Country School will celebrate the school’s oldest tradition, the annual Lois MacLane Poetry Recitation.

As The Country School seeks to advance 21st Century skills, including STEM, global awareness, and Design Thinking, we are pleased to introduce a new blog page about STEM efforts, both at The Country School and elsewhere.
| || | TCS Welcomes Members of Lakota Nation The Country School was proud to welcome members of the Lakota Nation to campus today for a traditional performance of Lakota music and dance. Students were also excited to collect art supplies for children at Lakota schools.

Jonathan Rothberg P '13, '15 Featured in Hartford Courant
TCS parent Jonathan Rothberg was profiled recently about his efforts to map the human genome quickly and cost-effectively, a development which could speed up disease research and make "personalized health care much more accessible," according to the Courant. Click here to read full story.
